Byron the Elf: Now once again, boys and girls, it's time for today's visit with

S.L.: Today, boys and girls,I'll tell you a story I call, "Blackbird Pie."

(SFX: Music Box)

S.L.: Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, there lived a very imaginative baker. So great were the pies that he invented that his fame spread far and wide, until finally one day the king heard of these wondrous pies.

"Bring this baker to me," cried the king, "that he may bake me a pie!" So the baker was brought to the palace, and told that he must invent a special pie, fit only for a king, and that if he should fail, he would forfeit his life.

The baker spent two entire days preparing the ingredients, and finally brought it before the king.

The king, in excited anticipation, cut into the pie, whereupon 24 blackbirds flew out and sang gaily to the king.

The king then look upon the baker and said, "I was kind of hoping for coconut creme."

B: Be listening next time, boys and girls, when The Story Lady tells the tender tale of "The Psychiatrist and the Fairy Prince."
