Satiric radio commentary for the 90s from the man who drained Lake Michigan and filled it with hot chocolate!!! Lifestyles of the Old and French
Stan Freberg here. When I heard that the oldest woman in the world had died--she was 122--I immediately checked out her diet and lifestyle. You'll be amazed. [:60 SPOT BREAK]
When Jean Calmond of France was born in 1875, World War I was still years away! Einstein and Picasso weren't even born yet. She outlived them by a long shot, but finally died at 122.
So, all you health advocates gather round while I tell you about her lifestyle.
She smoked cigarettes until she was 116, and always had a nice glass of wine. And wait! She had a couple of pounds of chocolate a week, and she was thin as a rail. Also, she never lost her sense of humor.
One more thing--she never got married. Missed all that stress of arguments, lies, being jealous of a mistress, and not any kids to worry about.
No, 122-year old Jean Calmond just smoked her cigarettes, ate her chocolate, drank her wine and stayed single. Makes you think.
