STAN FREBERG HERE...

A Few Odds & Ends

Stan Freberg here with a few odds & ends. For example, the number of TV sets manufactured in the world is keeping up with the births of babies: about 250,000 a day, and both involve changes--you know, change the channel, change the baby...be right back. [:60 SPOT BREAK]

Freberg again. I wonder, are there some kids who think Beethoven the composer was named after Beethoven, the dog in movies? Maybe.

And in Melbourne, Australia, the drug rehab center has the perfect location. You ready? Speed Street and Pot Boulevard! Really.

More odds and ends. Potato chips were originally called "Saratoga chips," because they were invented in Saratoga Springs, New York.

And finally, it turns out the cost of the entire expedition to Mars was about the same as the cost of the movie, "Waterworld."
