STAN FREBERG HERE...A Few Great Cartoons
Stan Freberg here with a few great cartoons. Rick Collanger of the Maryland Star-Democrat shows a frumpy woman in a ratty bathrobe, sprawled in front of the TV with a can of beer. The room is a mess, with an old pizza box on the floor. It says, "Martha Stewart relaxes after the holidays." Be right back. [:60 SPOT BREAK]
Freberg again. A cartoon from the New Yorker magazine by Donelly shows a doctor at his desk saying to a man and his wife, "I've never performed the operation myself, but I've seen it done successfully on 'ER' and 'Chicago Hope'!"
And after all the accidents in the snow, a kind of "black humor" cartoon from Walt Handelsman of the Times Picayune. An aide to Saddam Hussein is saying, "It's a New Year's present from the U.N. inspection team," as he hands Saddam a pair of skis and poles.
Hmm...that might do it.
