Byron the Elf:...Time now for another visit with



S.L.: Hello, boys and girls. Today we're going to hear the story I call, "Lolita."

(SFX: Music box)

S.L.: Once upon a time there was a very pretty little girl named Lolita...

Byron (interrupting): Uh, Story Lady...

S.L.: Yes, Byron?

(SFX: Music box slows down and stops.)

B: Story Lady, we've had trouble about this before. Now, did you clear this story with Continuity Accepatance before airtime?

S.L.: Of course, Byron. Anyway, Lolita lived with her mother and a kind man who was considerably older than...

B (interupting again): Uh, Story Lady, I don't mean to nag about this, but are you sure?

S.L.: If you don't believe me, just call Continuity Acceptance yourself, and ask for the new executive in charge of the show, Mr. Humbert Humbert.

B: Mr. Humbert Humbert?

S.L.: Oh, yes, you should meet him. He's a very nice man. He gave me a lollipop.

(SFX: Music box fades back in.)

B: Thank you, Story Lady. Be with us next time, boy and girls, when The Story Lady will wade barefoot through a tub of melted marshmallow.

(SFX: Music box out.)
