STAN FREBERG HERE...

The Freberg Data Bank: Turkeys, Twins and Meteor Dust (among other things)

Stan Freberg here with some more items from "The Freberg Data Bank." Even though it's a little while until Thanksgiving, how many pumpkin pies are eaten on "turkey day"? Answer: about 88 million, in one day. More after this. [:60 SPOT BREAK]

Freberg again with more little-known data. Mrs. Fyodor Vasiliev gave birth to 32 children during her lifetime. Beyond that, what was notable about this? They were all twins! 18 sets of twins.

Next, in 1790, a remote swampland was chosen for what U.S. site, so disgruntled citizens wouldn't have access to the nation's lawmakers? Answer: the U.S. Capital, now Washington, D.C. Hey, I think people have already figured out how to access it, okay?

And finally, how much meteor dust falls on Earth in one year? Answer: 40,000 tons. No wonder I've been coughing lately.
