STAN FREBERG HERE...Weird Kids' Names
Stan Freberg here with a few thoughts about kids' names. My friend, the late Frank Zappa, was probably the weird kids' names champ for naming his kids Moon Unit, Diva, Ahmet and Dweezil. But other celebs are hard on his heels. [:60 SPOT BREAK]
Freberg here. Heard of any Hollywood types naming their kids "Mary" or "Jim" lately? Not likely. My son Donavan--not a totally normal name--went to school with Dweezil's brother, Ahmet Zappa. Also in their school was a girl named Monica Lewinsky, an infamous name indeed.
Anyhow, the marriage of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis produced children like Tallulah, Scout--as in "Girl Scout cookie"--and Rumer, as in, "Split up? Ah, maybe it's just a rumor."
Christie Brinkley has named her new daughter Sailor, but Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin named their second daughter Cistine, as in "...Chapel."
"Cistine, have you been painting the ceiling again?"
