STAN FREBERG HERE...The "Bite" of the Century
Stan Freberg here. You're probably sick of hearing about what Mike Tyson did to Evander Holyfield's ear. So am I. But, here's a few comments from around the country. [:60 SPOT BREAK]
Freberg again. Just when I think I'll hopefully never see another film clip from "The Bite of the Century," here it comes dredged up again. One thing for sure--we know Mike Tyson isn't a vegetarian.
The L.A. Times called it a "chomp-ionship" fight, and the New York Post, over a front page shot of Mike sinking his teeth into Evander's ear, had a one-word headline: "DRACULA!"
And I thought to myself, "If doctors hadn't reattached the chewed-off piece of his ear, Holyfield would've been permanently 'Van Goghed'." Ahem...
A national survey asked people who they would least like to be bitten by. Dracula came in 3rd, Hannibal Lecter 2nd, and Mike Tyson 1st. Good news for Marv Albert--he wasn't even mentioned!
