Cartoon Update: Scandals, Joe Camel, and so on...

Stan Freberg here with a few political cartoons. Jeff Danziger shows a Hollywood movie producer walking into his office yelling, "Good Lord! I take one week off to go to Cannes, and the whole world blows up! Get me Marv Albert's agent! Get me Kelly Flynn's agent!" [:60 SPOT BREAK]

Freberg again. Here's a graduation gag from Jim Morin of the Miami Herald. A father sits reading the want ads while his son, still in cap and gown, says, "Hi, Dad! The good news is I found a job! The bad news is, it's the job you were downsized out of last year."

And from the New Yorker, here's a great comment on the cigarette wars by Eldon DeDini. At first glance, it looks like King Kong in the famous scene on top of the Empire State Building, but wait! It's a beleaguered Joe Camel, high in the clouds, clinging to the Empire State tower, as vintage airplanes buzz him, and shoot at him. Great satire.
