Cartoon Update: "A Tragedy for the 90s"

Stan Freberg here with another political cartoon. Some of the best satire in America is done each day by newspaper and magazine cartoonists. A recent memorable one, in a minute. [:60 SPOT BREAK]

Stan Freberg again. Here's a great cartoon from the artist who signs himself Toles--T-o-l-e-s--drawing for U.S. News and World Report. He shows two cars who have crashed into each other. It's labeled, "A Tragedy for the 90s."

A TV reporter by the wreck is saying into the camera, "A 'right to die' supporter who had used a little too much medicinal marijuana has collided with a 'death penalty' supporter who had consumed a little too much red wine for his heart condition. Both were killed instantly by their air bags."

Down in the corner, another guy is saying, "Investigators are listening to their illegally recorded final cell phone conversation."

Oh, boy. "A Tragedy for the 90s" is right.

Stan Freberg here.
