Welcome to the fear you can hear...
"The CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents..."

(SFX: Creaking door)
(Music cue: Theme)
E.G.: "Welcome...come in...I'm E.G. Marshall..."

And with that first broadcast from January of 1974, and for the next 8 years, Himan Brown took listeners on strange and terrifying journeys into the macbre.

THE CBS MYSTERY THEATER presented more than 1400 hour-long shows during its 8-year run. Soon, you'll be able to click on a year to see all the episodes that aired for any particular season, on both the original and the short-lived 1998 revival, hosted by Himan Brown himself.

The best news for Mystery Theater fans is that Mystery Theater is on the air again, every night on WRVO in New York. If you don't live in New York, you can hear Mystery Theater over the internet.
